Hi, can anyone reccomend a dark brown tan solution. I am having problems with Fake Bake, it isnt lasting, washing off and just giving a very pale colour, even the dark solution. I have sampled A tan 8 10 and 12 and they are OK but tingy orange. I want a deep brown colour for the party girls.

Hi there, Sienna x have just launched their darkest solution of 16% you can give them a call to get a try me size bottle (250ml) for around £12. 95 approx. . . Also Couture Romantic Bronze (10%) is quite a strong but lovely colour for a 10%.

I've just had a very generous-sized sample of LA Disco (from LA Tans) delivered, and I'll be trying it out on a client this week. It's 18% DHA, claiming to be the highest DHA content of any UK spray tan solution. The tag line is "try it if you dare" so I'm hoping for a deep, intense result. I too use Fake Bake and have had many clients remark that the FB Darker is just not dark enough, so I now offer Booster Drops (I charge £1 a go, it's epensive stuff! ) xx

You need to remind your self the basics of tanning. The whole point of fake tanning is to offer a natural looking tan. The higher the DHA the darker the tan, BUT this can lead to an orange tan, which because we are a pale nation ( mostly) do not suit a high DHA. Up until about three years ago the highest dha you could buy was 10%. Now you can get 16%, a-tan do one along with a few other companies, but to be realistic they will give a orange glow because we are a pale lot. Some spray tan techs and customers are in the frame of mind the darker the tan the longer it will last. NO it will not. If you have a customer who finds a tan will not last on them then you need to find out if they naturally tan well, in the sun ( bet they don't)in which case a fake tan will give them bit of a colour but to high dha will make them look orange and very false, plus when the tan fades they are going to notice how poor it looks ( dark funny colour on top of pale skin coming off in stages ugh! )

. We use a-tan and have been doing so for over a year and have never found 8, 10, or12 any orange at all. Are you using your samples on the right skin tone.
